Thursday Thirteen

13 Things I Would Do Just For Me if I Won the Lottery

1. Rent this castle in Scotland for a month and invite all of my friends to join me. Just to laze around and drink wine and read books.
2. Drive a Race Car
3. Spend a week in this Switzerland Spa.
4. Buy this house in Ireland and spend at least 3 months a year there.
5. Spend at least a year traveling the world.
6. Fly a Fighter Jet
7. Go on an African Safari
8. Buy a McLaren F1
9. Rent this Island for my honeymoon and spend at least two weeks alone there with MM.
10. Road Trip across the United States for an undisclosed amount of time, visiting all the states.
11. Build a dream home in Montana for MM to spend time at...with heated floors for me. :P
12. Play football with the Packers (they're my favorite..shut up)
13. Hire a live in Housekeeper so I never have to clean another toilet or wash another load of laundry.

What would you do??

I would buy a whirlpool tub and a big heavy lock for the bathroom door and I would even pay professionals and not ask my husband to install them.

Thanks for dropping by my TT! (=
You have a great one. I totally want to rent that castle. WOW!

As for what I want to do..

Right now? Demand my salon tell me where my hairdresser went. I called to make an appointment and they were all "Oh, he doesn't work here any more." What?! But he's the only one who cuts it right and colors it right. AHH!

I like all of your pics! Very imaginative! Hmm...let's see I guess it depends on how much the lottery winnings were after taxes. :) I would love a beautiful castle in Ireland just to putz around in and entertain all our friends and family.
I think I would take a very nice leisurely tour of the globe stopping anywhere that hit my fancy! Ok, now I am wanting to buy a lottery ticket!
My 13 are up too if you wanna stop by!

#s 5 and 10 are definitely on my list. I think I'd also renew my marriage vows and have the dream wedding my husband and I couldn't afford. Possibly on that island in #9.

Great TT!

Tried hiring a full time housekeeper, but then they have to be paid around 15-20 a year. I decided to keep 15-20 a year for myself instead!

Wow, that's a great list. I've spent "my lottery winnings" so many times already; it's fun to dream.

I think it's a great idea to verbalize our desires! Best of luck! Come visit my TT and enter my contest!

Great list! First things I thought of is I'd pay off my house, by me a Mustang, then take my family to Scotland.

Pay off the condo and truck and then sell those suckers!!! Buy a nice house in the Fab 40's (our rich area here) and buy us each a new vehicle.

Then I'd go to visit Scotland. Buy a cabin in Tahoe and a beach house in Hawaii.

Get massages once a month, hire a maid, hire a cooke and do whatever I damn well please.

I love castles and wine and books. Thus I am your new friend, you know, just in case you win the lottery!

Thanks for visiting.

Susan, Just for that I think your hubby should buy you a lotto ticket. :)

Pandora,
That SUCKS! I hate it when my hairdresser disappears!

Julie,
Ireland..yep.

jeanjeanie,
I'd definitely have a dream wedding, too.

Midas,
Well..that's why I said if I won the lotto. Otherwise? Not so much.

Nancy J. Bond,
It really is fun to dream. Wishful thinking isn't always a bad thing.

SpaceyMom,
Yep, Scotland is def. #1 on my list. Someday, someday..

Noelle,
Glad I could help out. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Izzy,
I said just for me. Which is why I didn't list anything practical like paying off the house and various other bills and setting up college funds for the kids, etc.

I'm so with you on the "Whatever I damn well please!" lol

Vixen,
I have a feeling I'd end up with a LOT of new friends if I won. But you could come to my castle party if you wanted. :)

so lost,
I'm glad I'm not the only one who lurrves them. :)

Beta,
Yum, Brett.

Mailyn,
You don't think MM will mind that I'm going to keep them warm in the summer, do you?

I'd move to England, where my stepdaughter and my husband's family live. Which---given the exchange rate---would soon exhaust ordinary lottery winnings.

You are going to have to win a VERY BIG LOTTERY, yeah?

At least you're not afraid to spend your money. I'd be scared to death of being poor again.

Well there's the swimming pool I wrote about a few weeks ago. But a cool house to go with it and live in help to take care of it all so I could travel would be the bestest ever.

i would buy a bookstore with living quarters and build in my dream writer's office. i would have book clubs and author readings and writer workshops and shame-free tutoring for all ages. and since we are dreaming BIG why not start a publishing company that respects its writers and readers at least as much as the bottom line...

ok time to wake up.

thanx for visiting my umbrage for Umbridge TT

I'd do the road trip and the world travel; but I bet that stuck in a house in Ireland for three months you'd be bored out of your mind.
